OILER
Ann Oiler, 88 years old, longtime Columbus resident, went home to be with her Lord and savior, on Tuesday, May 11th, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She loved spending time with her family and devoting her life to the Lord. She was a member of The Church of the Lamb of God, Columbus, and frequently attended bible studies. She enjoyed sewing, decorating and opened her home to people in need.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ephrum and Maude (Byrd) Garen, her loving husband of 35 years, Lawrence Oiler, daughter, Linda Merdeath, brothers: Argel and Willie Garen, sisters: Nellie Garen and Letha Bloomfield, and step daughter, Alice May.
She will be sadly missed by her devoted children Velva Whitaker, William "Dewey" Merdeath, Kathie (Sias) Huddle, Joy Merdeath, and step son Earl Merdeath, brother, Charles Garen, many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, including Eddie Sias and Emma Ebert. A host of friends and her church family will also mourn her passing.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, May 13th, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Funeral service will be on Friday, May 14th, 2010, at 11:00 AM, all at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
