Ann M Perez

Ann M. Perez, affectionately known as Annie by those closest to her, was born on July 10, 1955, and gained her angel wings on December 26, 2024, unexpectedly and surrounded by her loving family and friends. For over twenty years, Annie worked for Sygma before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work.

Ann was celebrated for her goofy spirit and silly antics that brought joy to those around her. She was the kindest person one could ever meet, embodying warmth and generosity. Anyone who knew her would agree that she would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need, showcasing a welcoming heart and a caring nature that endeared her to many.

Her hobbies were a testament to her nurturing soul; she found immense joy in gardening and taking care of stray animals, showing compassion for every living being. Feeding raccoons was a favorite pastime. She was a woman who was connected to nature, whether sitting on her back porch watching storms through the night or, swimming in her pool. Ann also enjoyed photography and found happiness in puzzles.  She enjoyed card games and loved having family and friend game nights. Above all, she cherished the moments spent with her family and closest friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.

Ann's life was filled with pride, especially when it came to her daughters and grandchildren. She beamed with joy as she spoke of Catrina (Quincy) Conley and Teresa (Lance) Clark, along with her grandchildren, Ciara, Jessica, Azura, Quincy Jr., and her great-grandchildren, Ashton and Niko. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in being a loving matriarch of her family.

Ann is survived by her life partner, Randy Kelley, and her beloved daughters, Catrina and Teresa, along with their families. She is also survived by her brother, John (Robin) Pickens, who will carry on her memory with love.

She was preceded in death by her father, Don Alvin Pickens; her mother, Margaret Virginia Pickens; and her brother, Dan Pickens. Their spirits and cherished memories will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

In celebrating Ann's life, we remember a remarkable woman whose kindness, selflessness and silliness illuminated the lives of everyone around her. She will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered for all the love and laughter she shared.

Memorial visitation will be held on January 11, 2025 from 1 to 3 pm until time of service at 3pm, at the Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123.
