Anna Jane Sims age 79 of Columbus, Ohio was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 28th, 2022.
Ann was born September 20th, 1942 to Walter Lyles and Ella Jane Lyles. Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and was up for any adventure. From parasailing, flying and riding in a hot air balloon to piloting a nascar race car, she lived life to the fullest. She served as a teacher's aide at the Grove City Christian School for 20 years where she was a friend and mentor to everyone. She also enjoyed bowling, Nascar and spending time at Indian Lake and loved the beach and family vacations to Florida.
Ann was married to Jack for 60 years. They were married shortly after she graduated from high school and raised their family in Columbus, Ohio.
Ann will be dearly missed by her husband Jack Sims, children Jack (Barb) Sims and Kim (Rich) Barnhill, grandchildren Brittany Sims and Ronnie Gallion (fiancee) and Ryan Barnhill, as well as extended family and countless friends. Ann was preceded in death by her father and mother, Walter and Ella Jane Lyles, sister Sally Jean Lyles and infant son Jason Sims.
In lieu of flowers, to honor Ann's love for dogs, donations may be made in her name to Grateful Acres Pets P.O. Box 155 Amanda, OH 43102 (www.gratefulacrespets.org) or to any animal rescue near to your heart.
Friends may call on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 1:00pm at The Naz Church (GCCN) 4770 Hoover Rd, Grove City, OH 43123.
