Ann L. Ward (Zimmer; nee Korting), age 84, passed away February 25, 2023. Ann was born April 5, 1938 in Columbus, OH to the late William F. and Louise Korting (Wildman). Ann spent her toddler years in Columbus and Grove City, OH before moving to Stockport, OH to live and work on the dairy farm owned by her parents; Dalecrest Dairy. Ann graduated from Windsor High School, Stockport, OH; attended Ohio State University and retired from the United States Post Office.
Ann married the late Daniel B. Zimmer from Harrisburg, OH in 1957 and raised a family of three children. She married the late William Ward in 1977 and, together, operated a beef cattle farm in London, OH while both worked at the London Post Office. Following Bill's passing in 2003, Ann moved to Grove City to be closer to family.
Ann is preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Naylor; brother William F. Korting, Jr and grandson Michael Naylor. She is survived by her children Daryl Zimmer of South Carolina and Darlene Zimmer (Woodie) of Grove City; sister Irene Brink; brother John (Debbie) Korting; son-in-law Bill Naylor; grandchildren David Woodie, Brooke Zimmer and Mindy Naylor-Goodman (Albert); great grandchildren Zavier Mayabb and Michael Goodman; many nieces and nephews.
Ann was an election poll worker for many years. In retirement, she enjoyed playing cards and making beautiful bead jewelry for pleasure and charity donations. She made delicious home-made meals and was a great pie, cobbler and bread baker. Ann was a three-time cancer survivor and valiantly fought the battle of Alzheimer's' Disease for several years.
