Annabelle (Townsend) Hurst, 99, of Dublin passed away January 14, 2011. She was born March 2, 1911 in Olive Hill, KY, to her late parents Benjamin Franklin Townsend and Sarah Melcina (Simmons) Townsend. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years Claude Maxon Hurst; children, Russell Maxon Hurst and Marilyn Anderson; step-sister, Louise (Alfred) King; son-in-law, Norman P. Jones. She is survived by daughter, Claudette (Marsch) Jones; son-in-law, George Anderson, 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 5 great- great- grandchildren. Annabelle was a member of the Dublin Community Center, Arlington Senior Center and a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was an avid quilter and card player. She adored the color purple and was very meticulous about her appearance. Visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, January 21, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Funeral Home. Burial at Mifflin Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Comfort Keepers, 3620 N.
