Anthony "Tony" W. Carey, 59, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away June 13, 2021.
He was born in Huntington, WV on February 13, 1962 to Robert R. Carey Sr. and Rose (Trombley) Brady.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Sr.; brother, Robert Jr.; and niece, Chrystina Carey.
Surviving family includes wife of 31 years, Rhea Carey; children, Whitney (Justin), Jeremie; grandchildren, Josiah, Damian, Xavier, Kingston, Cadence, Julian; mother, Rose (Dale) Brady; siblings, Brenda (Tom) Carter, Michael S. (Rhonda) Brady; sister-in-law, Kimberly Carey; special friend, Carol (Rick) Osborn; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Tony was a Christian and served the Pleasant View Baptist Church, as a Bus Captain for 25 years.
Before his brain surgery Tony was a self taught welder. He later worked as a crew member at Tim Horton's and Arby's.
He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Wrestling, and Scooby Doo fan; he also loved Classic Rock.
Tony was hilarious, he truly had a sense of humor even in his darkest days.
He never met a stranger and always had a mint to give.
Tony ate just about anything, but especially loved peanut butter and junk food.
He was a very caring, thoughtful and compassionate man.
Tony was an amazing husband, "Pops", and "Poppy" and he will be truly missed.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 21st, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 2525 Gantz Road, Grove City - OH 43123 with a Funeral Service immediately following. Burial will take place in procession to Concord Cemetery, Grove City - OH.
