Arleen Mae (Roederer) Ziglar, age 77 of Grove City, Ohio. She was born November 3, 1943 and passed away April 24, 2021 at StoryPoint Assisted Care in Grove City, Ohio after prolonged complications from Parkinson's disease. She was a 1961 graduate of West High School and attended Ohio State and Franklin University. She retired from Sally Beauty Supply and was a Realtor, working with her husband for many years. She also worked for the Franklin County Clerk of Courts where she developed many endearing friendships and the creation of her beloved "Golden Girl" card club was formed. Arleen was a life-long member of Glenwood United Methodist Church and was active in the handbell and vocal choir. She had a beautiful voice which anyone who had ever heard her sing could attest.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ruth Watts Roederer, and brother Dwight Roederer.
She is survived by her loving husband of fifty seven years, Jerry Ziglar, daughter Donna (Frank) Garcia, son David (Tricia) Ziglar, granddaughter Lauren Ziglar, step-granddaughter Quintana Garcia, sisters Donna (Les) Szuch, Lori Roederer, sisters-in-law Veronica Roederer and Winnie (Martin) Hollingsworth, nieces Rhonda Lambert, Amy Maness and Jill Calendine, nephews Russell (Pam) Hollingsworth, Randy (Jennifer) Hollingsworth, Scott (Carrie) Szuch, Bryan Szuch, D.J. Roederer and many great nieces and nephews. Arleen is also survived by dear friends, Janie Grim, Jeanne Grim, Butch and Patty Berger, Wayne and Cookie Coakley, Bill and Jane Ward and Keith and Marty Salyer.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at StoryPoint who shared their love and compassion during her final months in the Assisted Living section and the family and friends who visited her, sent cards and good wishes.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 28 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, April 29 from 9:00-10:30 A.M. with the funeral service immediately afterward at 10:30 A.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
