Arlis Robina Vaughn

Reverend Arlis Robina Vaughn, 69, of Columbus, passed away October 23, 2024. She was born on January 31, 1955 in Keyser, West Virginia to the late Robert Vaughn and Arlis Maxine (Fisher) Vaughn.

Those left to cherish Reverend Robina, Uncle Wayne Russell and nephews Robert Vaughn“ Bobby” Sr., Jerry David Saunders (Dominique, Justin Saunders (Joe) Adonis Hudson. Nieces, Carla Ransom, Tara Ransom, Angela Ransom, Tiffany Saunders (Izzy), Great nieces and nephews, Asia, April, RJ (Deanna), Lil Drake, LaDrea, Angelique, Mahogany, Jazmine ,Russell, Dremen. Great-great nieces, and nephews, Ryan, Dezmond ,Alton, Kilah, Autumn, Tyasia, Marcus, Robert III, Jelani, Kayden, Kari Renee, Makaii, Mackenzie, Christian, Dreanna, DreNya, Jyirre and many many other family members and friends. Along with Robina's parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Gay Estella and Karen Renee, also Grandmother Sarah Russell, Aunt Carolyn, Uncles Richard, Keith, Manuel Russell and Robert “Buddy” Fisher, nephew, Dezmond and Christian and Angela Ransom. 

Robina graduated high school in 1973. She went on to obtain her Bachelor's in Music Education from Baldwin Wallace University in 1977. She completed her education journey obtaining her Masters in Divinity from Methodist Theological School in Delaware Ohio and was ordained Elder and Reverend. She served for many years as the Reverend of the Asbury United Methodist Church also Fairborn Ohio , Newark Ohio and New Hampshire and also Blanchester where she served doing what the Lord called her to do.

When she wasn't spreading the message of the Gospel and took reprieve, Robina loved to cook, bake and crochet, making afghans and believe it or not she loved playing video and board games! And of course spending time with friends and loved ones. Robina had several health issues but she never let it stop her from doing the Lords work even when she stepped down from Pastoring she always had a word for someone even up to her last days she would minister to her neighbors in her most recent home. She will be missed more than she could probably imagine.

Immediate family will greet friends and family from 9:30 to 10:30 am Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1586 Clifton Avenue, Columbus 43203. A Homegoing service at 10:30 am to honor Reverend Robina will be held at also on November 30, 2024 at Asbury United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jasper presiding. Burial to Eastlawn Cemetery.
