Arthena (Waller) Marcum, 84, of Columbus, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2023, surrounded by her family whom she deeply cherished.
Arthena was born September 6, 1939, in Monaville (Logan County), WV to Clifford Waller Sr. and Virginia "Jennie" (Damron) Waller. She was a member of Southwest Free Will Baptist Church, which she loved and enjoyed very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Victoria Justice Waller Marcum; husband of 60 years, Clarence E. Marcum Sr.; brothers Bill (Orpha), Clinton (Lora), Clifford Jr. "JC" (Sandra), and Eugene (Blue) Waller; son Clinton (Tina) Marcum, grandchildren Christina and Johnny Anderson; great grandson Landon Anderson.
Arthena is survived by children Debbie (Clarence) Marcum, Tina (Bobby) May, Clarence "Buggy" Marcum Jr., and Bryan "Keith" (Melissa) Marcum; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by brothers Homer and Roger Waller; sisters Wanda (Waller), Phyllis Kingsmore, Bonnie Newsome, Judy Kirk, Nannie Dillon, Eula Mae Price, Maggie Waller, and Teresa Fletcher.
Visitation will be held Sunday November 12, 2023, from 4-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, November 13, 2023 at the funeral home. Pastor John Meade to officiate. Interment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, Lewis Center, OH.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Southwest Free Will Baptist Church, 1542 Greenleaf Rd, Columbus, OH 43223.
