Our beloved, Ashley Ann O'Dell, age 25, of Columbus died tragically on Sunday, May 19, 2013. Our blue eyed angel is now at peace with our Lord. Ashley was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
In her honor, we are requesting everyone that is attending her memorial by sporting their scarlet and gray. Ashley always wanted to live on a big farm so she could save every stray or abused animal she crossed paths with. Children instantly fell in love with her because of her winning smile and big heart. She was an integral part of raising Kadyn Craig, age 7, for 20 months. His response to her death was he pointed up to the sky and said he would see her again on the golden streets. Ashley loved him dearly like a mother would her own child. She also had a special bond with Tiona Williamson, age 16, who was a part of our family for a long time and still is much loved. A young lady, Ava Wasem, age 11, also held a very special spot in Ashley's heart. Ava plays fastpitch softball, which Ashley also played for a very long time, and will be watching and smiling down on Ava's games. Ashley is proceeded in death by her beloved grandmother, Barbara O'Dell and her aunt Edna Spradlin, both whom she missed dearly. Ashley is survived by her babies, Snoop and Sophia, bestfriend and beloved mother Karen O'Dell, father, Brian Null, brothers Nicholas, age 23 and Mason, age 13, Null, beloved grandfather and fishing buddy, William O'Dell, grandfather Charles Hart, aunt Lisa O'Dell and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and close family friends.
A memorial to celebrate Ashley's life will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Parsons Baptist Church, 3930 Parsons Avenue, Columbus, OH 43207 from 4 pm to 6 pm. Services will begin at 4 pm, followed by dinner graciously provided by the ladies of the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ashley's memory to Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway Avenue, Grove City, OH 43123. People may also leave a special message for her family at www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
