Barbara Lynn Bogan, 60, passed away January 27, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 22, 1950 in Austin, Texas to Clellion and Harry Bogan. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret "Peg" Swanson.
She is survived by her brother, Michael (Michelle) Bogan; she will also be missed by best friend, Lisa (Mark) Argiro, who stayed by her during her long illness; as well as her soulmate, Fred Hensley. Barbara loved all animals and will always be remembered by her dogs: Anna, Swoozie, Lady and Pasha; as well as her cats: Maggie, Lucky, Precious, Big Max, Little Max, In My Bowl and Fancy.
She graduated from OSU and obtained her Masters Degree from Cambridge. Barbara retired from the Columbus Public Schools and cared for each of her students at Westmoor Middle School. Services are private. A special thank you to the staff of Columbus Alzheimer Care Center and Odyssey Hospice for providing wonderful care. Newcomer Funeral Home, Grove City was honored to serve this family.
