Barbara Ann Boring

Barbara Ann Boring, age 84, died with family at her bedside on 22 July 2022, at 3:50 pm.
Barbara was born in Columbus, Ohio to her mother Martha Kiefhaber and Clarence Holmes.
She was raised with her beloved sister Marilyn, and after graduating from Linden McKinley High School, she married Richard Boring in 1958.
Barbara was a devoted mother of Ralph (age 62) and Julie (age 59).
She returned to educational pursuits in the early 1980s, culminating in a PhD in English Literature, Phi Beta Kappa.
Her dissertation on the shared themes of Wallace Stevens and Johannes Brahms was published in 1990.
Barbara was a locally renowned piano teacher for many years. In addition to classical music, her other passions included the music group Eagles, her many pets, travel and nature.
She is survived by her husband Richard, son Ralph, daughter Julie, daughter-in-law Laura, son-in-law Malcolm, and her grandsons Justin and Nicholas.
