Barbara Lee Croak (Carley), 89, of Johnstown, passed away February 11, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Barb was born February 7, 1935 in Johnstown, Ohio to Clifford Carley and Edna (Pease) Montgomery.
Barb was well-known for spending her Saturdays at the Johnstown Kroger meeting friends in every aisle. She spent the majority of her days babysitting several generations of Johnstown children and cooking up a storm, whether it was chicken nuggets and fries, packing school lunches for all her grandchildren, or making homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Barb will be deeply missed by her children, Bonnie (Chuck), Barb, Bobby, Beth (Eddie), Mike (Jan), and Tom (Brenda); grandchildren, Nate (April), Kady (Lee), Duff (Jen), Mackenzie (Marcus), Mallory (Tyler), Kerry (Eldon), Michael (Brandy), Matt (Ginny), Morgan, and Molly (Luke); 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Barb was preceded in death by her mother, Edna; husband, Robert; and son, Butch.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 17 from 4-7pm at the clubhouse at the Sportsman Club of Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made via check to the Johnstown Food Pantry at 7397 Johnstown-Alexandria Rd. Johnstown, OH 43031.
