Barbara, Mom, Maw Maw and Miss Barbara, as she was known, was an amazing woman that loved everyone and was loved by everyone she ever met. Always a kind word and a cookie, she loved to bake and cookies were her favorite. So much so that one of her cats was named Cookie. Her cats were her comfort and often found on her lap under a cozy blanket on a cold night.
She dedicated her life to looking after children, whether it was her own, her Grandkids, the neighborhood kids, the Sunday School children she cared for at church, or the hundreds, if not thousands, she helped mold into young people for her 33 years at Creative Child Care. She truly touched so many lives through her work there.
After retirement, she spent her days reading books, baking and watching old movies. She especially loved musicals (Doris Day was her favorite) or westerns. You could find her in front of her TV in the fall, rooting for the Buckeyes on Saturdays and the Browns on Sundays, and she would be quite vocal.
She had a heart of gold and would share anything and everything with anyone in need. If she had 3 pennies and you were in need, she would give you two.
She will be forever and always in our hearts and missed beyond belief. Rest easy Mama, we'll take it from here.
