Barbara Cole-Knapp, age 83, of Columbus, died on Friday, May 9, 2008 at her home, following a short battle with cancer. Barbara spent 61 years as a dedicated mother to her 4 children. She enjoyed family time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and was dedicated to her relationship with Christ through out her life. She was a member of the Parson Ave. Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Cole Jr.; son, Lorenzo D. Cole Sr.; daughter, Janice L. Alderman; great granddaughter, Tesa Alderman. She is survived by sons, Charles J. (Avis A.) Cole, Jerry M. Cole (Suzie); son in-law, Bernard H. Alderman; grandchildren, Barbara (Tim) Baum, Brandy (David) Hayes, Lorenzo D. (Amy) Cole Jr. Teresa Cole, Andy (Johnny) Kizziah, Amber (Phil) Bennett, Troy (Jarrie) Alderman, Amy Hoops, Bernie (Lindsey) Alderman Jr., Samantha Mittelmeier, Mickie Lynne Cole; great grandchildren, Sara (Aaron), Timothy Baum, Chelsea Cole, Dustin Baum, Eric Hoover, Andrew Cole, Ciarra Kizziah, Anthony Kizziah, Elijah Alderman, Ethan Alderman, Faith Alderman, and Emma Alderman. Visitation will be held Monday, May 12, 2008 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Parsons Avenue Church of God, 3389 Parsons Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the church. Pastor Brice Utt officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
