Barbara Luckhaupt, 87, passed away on May 20, 2022. She was born on October 31, 1934 in Canal Winchester, OH.
She attended Canal Winchester High School. Barbara married the love of her life, Richard on September 19, 1953.
Barbara and Richard traveled the country in antique cars and were members of several car clubs including the AACA of which she was President for 2 years, VMCCA, Model A, and the Studebaker Club. She worked along side of Richard in their car restoration business and construction business. She was also a bowler, a quilter and gardener.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Marion Beatrice Lee, son, Richard Lee Luckhaupt, daughter, Janine Laughlin, granddaughter, Michelle Ranck, in-laws, Clement and Josephine Luckhaupt, siblings, John, Marion, Shirley, Robert, Donald.
Surviving family includes husband, Richard, daughter, Kathryn (Michael) Olney, grandchildren, Cara (Brad) Meyer, Ryan (Renee) Olney, Norah (Pat) Fagan, Bryce (Audrey) Laughlin, Jay (Jamey) Ranck, son-in-law, Bryant Laughlin, 16 great-grandchildren, sister, Karen and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm, Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, on the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, OH.
Burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the Holy Family Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry, 57 S Grubb St, Columbus, OH 43215 or to the Special Olympics, 3303 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH 43232.
