Beatrice Lou "Bea" (Lansing) Anderson, 74, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at her residence. She was born November 22, 1934, in Pike County, daughter of the late Fred and Ruby (Locke) Lansing. In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur "Dutch" Anderson whom she married on May 23, 1951 in Greenup, KY; daughter, Tammy; sister, Goldie Mae; brothers, LeeRoy, Louis, Steven; great-grandson, Christopher. She is survived by her daughters, Terri (Richard) Mills of Grove City, Janice (William) Myers of Bellevue, OH and Jackie (Charlie) Jenkins of Washington Courthouse; sisters, Ann (Robert) Stanley of Waverly and Janet (James) Harper of Washington Courthouse; brother, Frank (Lynn) Lansing of NH; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Bea was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She fought a courageous battle and amazed all she met with her optimism. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Beth T. Tranen D.O. for the excellent care she has given Bea over the past few years. The family is also extremely grateful to Dr. Tarek Chidiak and everyone at The Mark H. Zangmeister Center for the wonderful care, respect, and kindness they were shown. Last but not least of all, the staff at Hospice for making this time in their lives and Bea's less painful. Visitation will be Saturday, February 28, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor Bud Brown, officiating.
