Benjamin Nicholas Catalogna, aged 43, left us too soon on February 5, 2025. He was born on October 31, 1981, in Columbus, Ohio, to Vincent and Patricia Catalogna. 

Benjamin is survived by his loving family, including his Mother, Patricia; former wife Christina (Kris) and children Keaton, Noah and Cole; former wife, Amber, and children Sunny, Sol and Benny. He is also survived by his siblings, Jacob (Amy), Chris (Erin), Katie, Laura, Megan (Anita), along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. Benjamin is preceded in passing by his Father, Vincent Catalogna.

To know Ben was to love him. Beginning as a child, Ben was celebrated for his boundless love, immense empathy, and infectious sense of humor.

Throughout his life, Benjamin touched the hearts of everyone he met, always putting others above himself. His generosity and selflessness were known to all, and his capacity for empathy was unparalleled. He was quick with a joke, able to bring a smile to anyone’s face, and his laughter was a source of joy to many.

A true sports enthusiast and fierce competitor, Benjamin had an unwavering passion for football and basketball; spending countless hours enjoying and discussing the latest games with friends and family. His enthusiasm for sports was not just a pastime but a way to connect with others and build lasting friendships.

He was also a cherished friend to many, and his coworkers remember him fondly for his dedication, camaraderie, and warmth.

Family and friends are invited to gather, reminisce, and honor the life of Benjamin on Tuesday, February 18th from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231). On Wednesday, February 19th, a Funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. at St. James the Less Catholic Church (1652 Oakland Park Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43224) immediately followed by a processional and graveside ceremony at Resurrection Cemetery (9751 North High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035).

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to North Terrace Church of Christ in care of Celebrate Recovery (1420 Brandywine Blvd, Zanesville, OH, 43701).

Additionally, a fund will be established in support of his children in the near future.
