Benjamin Cordie Garey

Benjamin Cordie Garey was born on 24 July 1943 and died on 26 April 2023. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Harrison and Lillian Garey and two brothers, Elwood Carey and Kenneth Garey. He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years Margie Morris Garey whom he married on 2 August 1964; their two children, Benjamin Harrison and DeVona Lynn; three grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathon, and Zachery; three brothers, Leon, David, and Frank; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Ben loved football and was a fan of Ohio State for college and the Washington Commanders in the NFL. He was a member of The Church Next Door in Columbus since moving to Ohio and still met with his men's group in Maryland, the Water Boyz, every Thursday morning via Zoom. He got a passport to go on a mission trip, but his health did not allow him to go.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 29th, 2023 at 10am at The Church Next Door, 5755 Feder Rd., Columbus, OH 43228.
