Benjamin Thomas Routman, 21 of Westerville, born November 4, 2003, passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2025. Ben was the son of David and Marie (Savino) Routman.
Along with his parents, Ben is survived by his brother and best friend, Alex; maternal grandfather, Larry Savino; paternal grandmother, Helen Routman; uncle, Jeffrey Savino (Amy); aunts Cherilyn (Robert) Pike; and Carol Kerschner; as well as cousins, Joshua, Julia and Adam Savino; Mia and Max Manney; and Ashley and Ava Pike. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Savino; paternal grandfather, Robert Routman; and uncle, Alex Routman.
Ben was a student at Columbus State Community College where he was studying business.
Ben had many passions including animals, music, photography and life itself. He never hesitated to capture a moment or memory on film and saw beauty in everything and everyone around him. Ben once said "I love the world around me and the person I've become." He was who he was because of the people in his life, not just his family, but his incredibly special friends, especially his roommate and other best friend, Josh, as well as Joey, Nick and so many others whom he loved enjoying $1 Beer Night on Wednesdays at The Bier Stube.
Immediate family will greet friends and family from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions - Northeast at 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. A service to honor Ben's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Blendon Central Cemetery in Westerville.
