Benjamin Wells Jr.

Benjamin Wells Jr., 83, departed this world Thursday February 3, 2022, following a short illness.

Born September 15, 1938, He was the son of Benjamin Wells Sr., and Annie Mae Wells. He was born in Kits, Kentucky.

Benjamin Wells Jr. graduated from John Henry High School in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduation, he went on to marry the late Teresa Ann (Jones) Wells. They had seven wonderful children together. He worked for many years at Cleveland Building where he retired from in the late 70's, along with a few other jobs after retirement.

He loved his family and friends, watching old cowboy movies (westerns), football and basketball. However, the 49ers and Boston Red Socks are his favorite teams. Spending time with his family was his favorite pastime.

He is survived by two daughters, Veronica Brown (Willie) of Columbus, Ohio and Aurora Allen of Youngstown, Ohio. One sister, Arcella Ingram (Richard) of Warren, Ohio and three brothers Arthur Wells (Judy) of Cleveland, Ohio, Ernest Wells of Houston TX and Reggie Wells (Beverly) of Niles, Ohio.

As well as, Eight grandchildren, DeAndra Allen, Shalon Brown, Lavell Brown, David Allen (Trinity), Shawntia Allen, Lashawn Allen, Deshara Blair (Brandon), and D'Andre Allen. Along with twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin Wells Sr. and Annie Mae Wells. Became reunited with his loving wife Teresa Ann (Jones) Wells, and five children Anthony, Cassandra, Rodney, Tyrone, and Kevin Wells along with his three brothers Andrew, Eddie Sr. and Bernard Wells.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following. Burial will take place in procession to Eastlawn Cemetery, Columbus - OH.
