Bennie Fields, 80, of Columbus OH passed away peacefully on January 18, 2022. He was born on January 22, 1941, in Kermit, West Virginia to Delbert and Isabelle Fields.
He is survived by his children Bennie Eugene Fields (Leigh Ann) and Rachel Bishop (Jay); grandchildren Brian, Chandi, Janis-Ann, Eric, Alan, and Cody; seven beautiful great-grandchildren; and many loving family members.
Bennie began singing bluegrass music at the age of 12. In 1970, he and his brother, Clancy, formed The Fields Brothers. Together they recorded two popular bluegrass albums and won several festival contests.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life, his birthday, and the music he loved on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 12-3pm at Holt Park Clubhouse, 2400 Holt Road, Grove City OH with remarks from the family at 1:30 pm.
