Bernadette Odia-Kananga, 69, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away August 23, 2021.
She was born in Tielen Saint-Jacques (Mission Tshilomba) on March 23, 1952 to the late Marcel Kalonji-Mulopu and Elisabeth Ngomba-Fuesa.
She is preceded in death by her eldest sister, Margueritte Tshiabu Kabanga; young sister, Kahinga Ma Mbombo Therese; son, Ilunga-Tshibangu Felicien; grandchildren, Emmany Tshibangu-Kalonji, and Gloddy Tshibangu-Kalonji.
Surviving family includes, loving husband, Onis-Paul Tshibangu-Mutengela; children; Nicole Kanyeba-Tshibangu, Theodore Ngandu-Tshibangu, Marcel Kalonji-Tshibangu, Gisele Ndaya-Tshibangu, Dr. Stephane Mudingayi-Tshibangu, Irene Ngudia-Tshibangu, Elisette Ngomba-Tshibangu; thirteen granchildren, and one on the way; sisters, Mujinga-Muluila Marie, and Mbuyi-Mwika Astrid.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm September 3rd, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus- OH 43231. Funeral Services will be held immediately after. Burial will follow in procession to Blendon Central Cemetery - Westerville, OH.
