Bernice H. Doty, 83, of Westerville, OH passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008. She was born December 14, 1924, in Byron Center, Michigan, daughter of Barney and Stella Vanderwall Dykhouse. Bernice loved gardening, and her two cats. She was known by all as a sweet, caring and lovely lady. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind -- her son, Paul L. (Linda) Doty Jr.; daughter, Estelle (William) Gill; brothers, Barney and Ike Dykhouse; sister, Martha Blackwell; grandchildren, Michael Doty, Audra Sutton and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul L. Doty Sr.; brother, John Dykhouse; sisters, Jenny Koi, Freda Stuyfzand, Emma Schulte, Stella Wiersma and Alice Baker. Graveside services were held March 5, 2008 near Westerville. A Memorial service for family and friends will be held in Michigan in the near future.
