Bessie Ann Harper

Bess Ann Harper, our beautiful, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Wife, passed away in her Grove City, Ohio home on Monday, February 19th, 2024 with her husband Jim by her side. She was 75 years old.

Bess was born September 30, 1948 to Leroy and Gladys (Rice) Mckinney in Columbus, Ohio.

Bess was married to James W. Harper Sr. for 58 years. She was a dedicated worker for Sears and Eddie Bauer for many years.

Bess enjoyed shopping and nice spring and fall weather. She loved flowers, gardening and birds. She enjoyed visiting the Columbus Zoo. Bess loved to read and watch Lifetime movies. She loved the color purple in all shades and wore it all the time. She loved to eat ice cream and enjoyed it one last time before she passed. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved to decorate for the occasion and wrapping the presents beautifully.

Bess survived by her husband James, sons Jimmy and Tim Harper and daughter Robin (Myers) Harper. Their spouses, Aletha, Nora and Alan. Her grandchildren, Jessica Harper (Josh LaBarge) and Jacob Myers. Her great grandchildren, Oakley, Emree and Riley.

Bess will be forever with us in our hearts and deeply missed.
