Bessie L. Rodgers

Bessie Louise Rodgers, age 84, Grove City, formerly of Darbydale, passed away on August 6, 2024. She was born on February 16, 1940 in Fayette County, Ohio to the late Clarence and Ethel Snyder. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husbands, Thomas F. Conley, George W. Rodgers, and her long-time companion, Anthony "Tony" Zifer, her siblings, Bob (Glenora) Snyder, Betty (Monte) Cole, Barbara Ann Snyder, Beverly J. (Bobby) Pearce, and Bonnie Bell Snyder.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Teresa Ann Collmar and her brother, Ben (Marcia) Snyder.

Bessie attended West Jeff High School and worked at Gray's Drug Store in The Hilltop, Tony's Coneys, and McDonalds.

She had a good heart. Bessie supported Vets and Native American children when she had extra money. She loved Jesus with all her heart, and babysat many children. She helped raise nieces, nephews, and great-nieces. 

She will be deeply missed.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 from 10am-12pm for calling hours. A funeral will follow starting at 12pm. Burial will take place at Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
