Bessie Eileen Spiers, 63, passed away June 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Imo Kent; longtime companion, Douglas "Mack" McCoy; and brother, Robert Pauley. Bessie is survived by her sons, Tony (Kim) and Aaron (Aren); grandchildren, Brandon, Shawn, Kevin, Bryan and Alan; sisters, Delores Eastman, Mable (Donnie) Shifflet and Patty (David) Ward; as well as many other family members. Bessie was a member of Columbus Linden Eagles, FOE 2252 for over 35 years. Visitation Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH. Funeral Service Thursday, June 23 at 12 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Northlawn Memory Gardens, Westerville, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bessie's memory to Nationwide Children's Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 16810, Columbus, OH 43272-5117.
