Betty Camelin

Betty Camelin, age 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 22, 2021. She was born on May 19, 1936 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Wilma (nee Scott) and James Shelton.

Betty was a current member of the Wellston Church of the Nazarene, a recent member of the Medina Church of the Nazarene and a long-time member of the Darbydale Church of the Nazarene. She served as Missionary President for many years, was a Board member and Sunday School Teacher. Betty loved her family gatherings and especially enjoyed the family reunions in Hendersonville, NC every Thanksgiving.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Lloyd Scott; sister, Patty Frump; sister-in-law, Cloa Shelton. She is survived by her children, George "Mike" (Cecilia) Camelin, Beth Ann (Mark) Clingan, Karen (Dave) Walder; grandchildren, Michael (Nicole) Alejo, Jasmine Hernandez, Jocelyn Hernandez, Thomas (Rachel) Clingan, Timothy (Crystal) Clingan, Jenelyn (Austin) McNeal, Jonathan (Savannah) Walder; great-grandchildren, Alistair, Dove Marie, Kamryn, Felicity, Rowan, Ariella, Hayden, Micah, Maya; brothers, Ronald (Pat) Shelton, Gary (Glenna) Shelton; sisters, Linda (Charles) Triplehorn; Sally (Michael) Eckhardt; brother-in-law, Maurice Frump; many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

The visitation will be on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Darby Creek Church of the Nazarene-Darbydale, 5443 Norton Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Clingan officiating. Burial to follow with procession to Concord Cemetery.
