CAMPTON, Betty Ann (Napier), age 92. She was born April 9, 1929 in Huntington, West Virginia and died May 16, 2021 at her daughters' home surrounded by her family. She was raised in Marion, Ohio by her parents George and Mary Napier. Her dad owned The Bear Cat Store where she had many great childhood memories. She met Dennis Gordon Campton in high school and they were married on August 11, 1951. They had 3 children and moved to Columbus Ohio where he completed his degree at OSU to become a physician. She then moved to Grove City, Ohio where she was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Betty was involved in many of the church's activities. Her children also attended school there. She loved going to the horse races at Beulah Park and Scioto Downs. Another favorite activity was attending events at Muirfield Golf Club. Betty was an avid OSU Buckeye fan and often answered the phone "go bucks". She enjoyed going to the theater and art events and camping with her daughters. After going back to school to become a dental assistant, she worked for Dr. Carl Scott for many years. She also ran the Grove City Country Club and worked at the SouthWestern City Recreation Center for many years. She worked for Dyserv as a receptionist for about 10 years. After retirement, she loved going to the YMCA and playing cards with her friends. She couldn't be beat in Euchre. She took her dog to Monterey Nursing Home every Thursday to brighten the days for the residents. She took pride in being stylish, fashionable and a devoted mother and grandmother. She is predeceased by her parents, Dennis Campton, the father of her children, and her best friend from high school, Mary Ann Corwin. She is survived by her 3 daughters Christine Campton of Santa Cruz, CA and her partner Patt Kearly, Denise Anderson of Fort Payne, Alabama and her partner Jerry Hooks, and Tamara Campton of Grove City, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kim Miller, Dale Anderson, Keith Anderson, Nicholas Campton and Carley Campton. She has 3 great-grandchildren, Austin LaChance (Kim), Aiden LaChance (Kim) and Beckett Seaman (Carley and Lyle). Visitation will be held at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 3730 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123, ,on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 10:00am until time of Mass at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Marion, Ohio.
