Betty Ellen Cornell

Betty Ellen Cornell, born on March 15, 1953, in Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on November 29 2024. She began her professional journey at the young age of 18 with The Ohio Department of Administrative Services, where she dedicated 30 years of her life before retiring.

Betty graduated from Westfall High School in the class of 1971. Throughout her life, she was known for her, warmth, and love for family. She was a family woman enjoying spending time with loved ones, often showcasing her stubbornness and sassiness that added to her vibrant personality.

Her hobbies included a deep passion for horses, and she cherished her time at fairs and the zoo. Betty was frequently found at festivals and family reunions, where she enjoyed good food and fellowship with her loved ones. She also loved attending horse races with her life partner, Victor Sanchez, and capturing precious moments with her camera, especially of her family members.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Curtis Morgan) Cornell; grandchildren, Brandon Cornell, Braylon Cornell, and Brielle Cornell; sister, Dianna Cornell; brothers, Roger (Jane) Cornell and Chuck Cornell; life partner, Victor Sanchez, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William David Cornell; mother, Rosalie Cornell; and stepmother, Mildred Cornell.

A Memorial gathering will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
