Betty Lou Fortmann (Helgerson) passed away peacefully at home July 5, 2023.
She was born in Canton, MN, January 2, 1931 to Leo and Mya Helgerson, one of 10 children.
Betty was a homemaker and loving mother, daughter, sister and grandmother/great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mya; husband, Gordon A. Fortmann and daughter, Catherine Kreachbaum.
Betty is survived by her sister, Yvonne Fry; her children, Carlene Brock, Christine Pingault, Charlotte Fortmann; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus with a memorial service immediately following at 5:00 pm, also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel.
