Betty J. Hedrick, 81, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Columbus West Park Nursing Home. She was born June 8, 1927, in Portsmouth, daughter of the late Russell B. and Helen V. Ross Elliott. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Hedrick Sr. She worked at Holy Name Church and also St. Mary Church. Betty is survived by her sons, Edward A. (Peg) Hedrick Jr., James M. Hedrick, David R. (Dee) Hedrick and Thomas C. (Allison) Hedrick; daughters, Shirley J. Hofstetter, Brenda S. (Robert) Caudill and Norma L. Smith; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; cousin, Jane A. Reynolds and special friend and neighbor, Marty Cochrun. Memorial service will be Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church, 5684 Groveport Road, Groveport. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Father Richard Metzger. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home S.W. Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City.
