Betty Jane Sidle, 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 20, 2008. Born on October 22, 1925, in Bowling Green, OH to the late Reverend Herbert and Medah (Kline) Stimmel, Betty is also preceded in death by 3 brothers, 2 sisters in-law, and 1 brother in-law. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Elbert; daughter, Sherilyn (David) Foor, Plain City; son, Steve (Dede) Sidle, New Jersey; grandchildren, Kelly (Robert) Brown, Christian Sidle, Sarah Washkau, Jesse (Jane) Washkau; great grandchildren, Madison and Jessica Brown; sister, Bonnie Stevenson; sister in-law, Connie Stimmel. Betty worked as secretary in California during WWII and secretary for OSU department of Medicine. Other positions that Betty held include Clerk/ Treasurer for the village of Dublin and Orange Twp. Betty was a true servant to the Lord and worked for the District Church of the Nazarene and served many years as church organist and pianist where she and Elbert were members. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 5-9PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be on Thursday, January 24, 2008, 10:00AM at North Church of Christ in Christian Union, 5600 Karl Road, Columbus, OH. Interment will follow at Africa Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio.
