Betty Jeanne Kieper departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 27th, 2011. Born on August 1, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio, she is preceded in death by her father Donald E. Wirtz; mother, Elizabeth E. Grigsby; son Donald E. Kieper. After retiring from BF Goodrich, Betty accompanied Bill at the WCVO radio station for their program called "Thanks for the Memories" where they were affectionately known as the "Bee Keepers." Both were ordained at Grace Chapel Community Church in Westerville, volunteered as chaplains at Riverside Hospital and served as tour guides for the Living Bible Museum. Betty is survived by her husband of 65 years, William (Bill) E. Kieper; step-mother Pauline Schooley; sisters, Mary McNabb and Donna Carter; daughter Debbie (Kenny) DeMers; son Ed (Cindy) Kieper; cousin, Karlene (Duane) Service; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Thursday, March 31, 2011, 11:00 AM. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to William Kieper.
