Betty C. Jordan, 74, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Scioto Community Retirement Home. She was born April 14, 1934, in Parkersburg, W.Va. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Viola (Dock Allen) Byers Robinson and Dudley Thomas; brothers, Ken Thomas, Paul, Lawrence and Carl Robinson; sisters, Carol Hartley, Geneva McGraw, Audrey Bear and Sylvia Robinson. She was a member of The First Brethren Church. Betty is survived by her husband, Pastor John P. Jordan; daughter, Marsha (John) Meyer; grandchildren, John, Noah and Lindsey Meyer brothers, Dock Allen, Clarence, Bob (Shirley) and George Robinson; sisters, Doris (Bruce) Elliott and Ann (Herb) Hunt; sisters-in-law, Patty Robinson and Ruby McKenzie. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fernwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter 3380 Tremont Rd Columbus, Ohio 43221.
