Betty M. Parks, 86, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late Merrill and Mabel (Pfeil) Mason in Licking County on August 14, 1922, Betty is survived by her daughter Janet Parks; son Thomas Parks; grandson, Brad Parks. Betty retired as an Executive Assistant from the US Army. She was an active member of the Eastminster Presbyterian Church and enjoyed doing charitable work for many organizations. Betty will be remembered always for her enjoyment of life and her kind soul. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2009, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 24, 2009, 10:00 AM at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 3100 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's name may be made to Eastminster Presbyterian Church or Lifecare Alliance, 1699 West Mound Street, Columbus, OH 43223-1809.
