Hosler, Betty Ruth (Morris), age 93, God shared her with the world on April 4, 1918 in New Holland OH, Pickaway County, and when her work was complete, called her home on Monday, November 7, 2011. Betty was predeceased by parents Leota (Dennis) and Ernest Morris; Husband, Galen "Ike" Hosler; Brother Earl Morris; and brother-in-law, Bob Hosler. Betty and Ike shared 64 wonderful years after marrying on December 25, 1941, in Greenup, Kentucky. She is survived by son, Michael (Elizabeth) Hosler of Columbus OH, and daughter, Darla Hosler of Blacklick OH; granddaughters, Dawn (Chris Sarjeant) Armentrout, Emilie (Freddirico Budgett), and MaryCatherine Hosler; two great grandsons, CJ Armentrout and Malikhi Budgett; Joy (Ray) Eglehoff, sister-in-law of Nevada; longtime family friend Dr. Robert Wilkinson of Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Betty devoted her time to being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and neighbor. After her marriage to Ike, they enjoyed bowling and loved every minute of it for over 50 years. Betty retired from Huntington National Bank Operation Center and, in her spare time, volunteered at St. Ann's Hospital (25 years) and conducted tours at Columbus Intl Airport. Betty was well known for her story telling and humor. She always put a smile on everyone's face and could light up a room with her smile.
The celebration of her life will be held at 10 am on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory (614-818-1188) located at 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus OH 43231 with brief graveside service and interment immediately following at the New Holland OH Cemetery in Pickaway County. Family and friends are invited to gather from 2-4 or 6-8 on Wednesday November 9, 2011 to spend time together and reminisce.
