Betty J. Van Winkle, 82, of Hilliard, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born April 5, 1927, in Racine, OH, daughter of the late Vern and Jessie Quillen Ross. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Van Winkle and brother, Dwight Ross. She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Beth) and Ronald (Sue) Van Winkle; daughters, Beverly McCoy and Patricia (Gary) Beery; sister, Evelyn Cotter and loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 7, 2009 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery, Galloway.
