Beverly Joan Mason, Born October 22, 1930, passed away peacefully Saturday March 5, 2005 in Bangor, Maine. Our Beloved Mother, gave us all, each of her six children, precious gifts too numerous and profound to explain in this brief announcement. We are sure that she has been welcomed into heaven by her parents James N. Blissell and Kathy (Kitty Mae Snyder) Anderson. Mom was a spirited and articulate conversationalist: we all have an appreciation for language, and a real "gift of gab!" in addition to a wonderful sense of humor! We know of no equal when it came to telling a funny story, complete with all the gestures and inflections! She love to laugh, which she did often, and she loved to share laughter with others. Mom loved music, loved to sing! Growing up we recall her sitting at her piano (purchased by her patents when she was just two years old), pounding joyfully on the keyboard, singing a show tune or a popular favorite from her youth. In her fiftieth year, Mom fulfilled her lifelong dream and became a nurse. She gave comfort and care to many along the way. We remember her integrity, compassion, and especially, her love and commitment to us. She will be profoundly missed by the six of us, and all who knew her. Survived by her children, Kitty Lynn (Paul) Graham, Kimberly Ann (Ernest) Vansaw, Linda Charlotte Snow (Bob Kurczewski), Dana Burt (Suzette) Mason, James Brett Mason, David Corey (Jody) Mason, Seventeen grandchildren, and three great-grand children. Family and friends are welcome to join us to celebrate our Mother's life:
Memorial Service from 11a.m. to 1p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio. Interment immediately following at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3653 W. Market Street, Akron, Ohio. Our family is eternally grateful for the loving care given to our Mother and Grandmother by the staff at Westgate Manor in Bangor, Maine. Because of you, our beloved Mother enjoyed her maximum possible quality of life, and experienced comfort, total acceptance and love for the past three years. Anyone wishing to make a donation in her memory may contact the Alzheimer's Association.
