Bhojmaya Lamgaday

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Amma Bhojmaya Lamgaday, who left this world peacefully on 3/6/2025 at 3:34pm. She was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love—a guiding light in the lives of all who knew her.

Born in Burma, Amma lived a life filled with kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family. She dedicated herself to nurturing those around her, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit made everyone feel cherished and cared for.

Amma’s love knew no bounds. She found joy in the simplest moments—preparing meals that brought the family together, offering words of encouragement, and embracing each day with unwavering faith and resilience. Her wisdom and life lessons will remain in our hearts forever, guiding us even in her absence.

Amma leaves behind her sister, Narbada. She also leaves her daughters Shakuntala Saboo, Sontha Wohlford, Karuna Lamgaday, and her son, Gopal Lamgaday. Lastly, she leaves behind several grandchildren: Nisha, Suraj, Peter, Nikhil, Anand, Manisha, and several other grandchildren who will continue to honor her legacy by living with the same grace and kindness she embodied. Though she is no longer with us, her love will remain a part of us always.

A funeral service to celebrate her life and the love she shared will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home: 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, Ohio 43065. We invite all who knew Amma to join us in remembering her and finding comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.
