William J. "Bill" Wimberly, 59, passed away at home on March 26, 2009 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Bill is survived by his parents, Isabelle Bailey-Wimberly and Luther (Carolyn) Wimberly; son, Aaron (Elizabeth) Wimberly; daughter, Maci Amrhein; life mate of 17 years, Mary Ream; stepchildren,, Hollie (Tom), Jeff and Samantha; grandchildren, Hannah, Austin, Kadin, Esmerelda and Lily; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1967. Bill enlisted in the Marine Corp. in 1969 and served until 1974 ending his service as a Lance Corporal. He served one year in Vietnam, which was something he was extremely proud of. Bill drove a bus for COTA for 16 years and was most recently employed by Nelms Trucking. Memorial service will be Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, with visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
