Billy C. Harris, 72, of Columbus, went home to be the keeper of the door, February 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Crete Harris Kirk; sister, Rolene Nungester; brother, Rodney Harris and special friend, Danny Columbro. Billy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sue Harris; daughter, Kim (Steve) McGlothlin; grandchildren, Lindsey Kaufman and Nicholas McGlothlin; sisters, Carletta (Ernest) Booth, Barbara (James) Haywood, Iva (Bill) Lynch, Nancy (Tom) Bausum; brothers, Arthur (Betty) Harris, Charles (Sharon) Harris; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Sandi Columbro and family, Hobert (Ruby) Salyer, Speedy (Pat) Salyer and Rick (Paula) Grover. Billy retired after 50 years as Supervisor at Johnson's Catering. He was a member of Hayden Enterprise Baptist Church. Billy was also a member of Bluegrass Ramblers Band, leader of Billy C. & The Pure Gold Band and was a current member of the Bluegrass Beacons. Billy loved to sing and testify for the Lord and his voice will be missed. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the funeral home. Rev. Bill Webb and Rev. Greg Mason will be officiating with interment at Harrison Township Cemetery.
