Billy G. Ramey Jr. was born on January 28, 1953, in Williamson, West Virginia. He passed away on February 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and family.
Billy dedicated 25 years of his life to COTA before retiring. He was known for his skills as a Master Welder and often described himself as a "Jack of all trades, master of none." His hands were always busy, whether he was fixing something, playing music, or telling his famous dad jokes that brought joy to those around him.
Family was the most important aspect of Billy’s life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ramey, and their many children: Billy, Heath, James, Angelica, Peter, Joel, Jan, Josephine, Dan, Christina, Cherie, Sophia, Jonathan, Cinderella, Philip, and Victor. Additionally, he cherished his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart and were a source of pride for him.
Billy was predeceased by his father, Billy G. Ramey Sr., and his mother, Easter Ramey. His memory and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and everyone who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 3pm at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2502 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204.
