Birdie Louise "Lou" Ross

Birdie Louise "Lou" Ross, age 65, of Columbus passed away on October 2, 2022. She was born on July 5, 1957 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Robert and Alice Harris. She was also preceded in death by her pookie bear, Princess.
Lou is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dale; daughters, Amanda Ross, Amy Ross and Jackie Morey; grandsons, Teddy Tope, Ethan Morey; siblings, Danny (Rosa) Harris, Don (Stephanie) Harris, Bonnie Mettlen and Ronnie Harris; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Lou loved plants and had a wonderful green thumb. She was always taking care of everyone and enjoyed staying busy. Lou liked cooking and passing down family recipes. She loved gardening and spending time with her girls whenever she could. Once upon a time ago, Lou enjoyed her time as a teacher's aid at Medary Elementary. She will be greatly missed and thought of often.
A gathering with family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Northeast, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road.
