Bobby Lee Blankenship, 81, of Westerville, OH passed away May 31, 2023. Bobby was born December 2, 1941, in Holden WV to Jessie and Anna (Bradshaw) Blankenship.
Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Michele (Tony) Conley of Westerville and two sons, Craig (Amy) Blankenship of Mount Vernon and Chad (Carrie) Blankenship of Columbus; one sister Elaine Trevino; one brother Tony Blankenship; nine grandchildren, Ashlee Conley, Alyssa (John) Conley-Sanchez, Anthony Conley, Kaylei (Chaz) Barnett,
Chase (Kaitlyn) Blankenship, Taylor (Luke) Miller, Christian Blankenship, Cierra Blankenship Cameron Blankenship; 8 great-grandchildren, Greyson, Carson, Chalei, Chanyia, CJ, Payton, Colton, Vivian; his life-long friend Prudy and his special caregiver Ava.
In addition to his parents, Bobby Blankenship was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Rosella Blankenship, his special friend Marvin, four brothers and 5 sisters.
Bobby loved his family. He always had a funny story to tell and loved telling scary stories to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He would always tell you how much he loved you, "a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck". He had so many more grandchildren that he adopted during his lifetime. He was a simple man, who would give the shirt off his back. He loved vacations with his family, who he cherished with all his heart. He will be forever missed.
The family will be having a private ceremony. Burial will be at Northlawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude in his name.
