Bonnie George Scranton, 69, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away October 11, 2021.
She was born in Wooster, OH on September 13, 1952 to the late Thomas "Mutt" and Fern (Griffith) George.
She is preceded in death by brother-in-law, Bill Jackson; and nephew, Jerome Jackson.
Surviving family includes her loving husband of 47 years, Darryl Scranton; children, Dawn Machelle (Eric Owens) Scranton; brother, Thomas (Sally) George; sisters, Shirley Jackson, Lynda Treat-Clemons; as well as cats and granddogs.
Bonnie worked at Ohio State University for over 20 years as a technical trainer.
She served on the staff of the Secretary of State, Sherrod Brown.
Bonnie was passionate about her cats and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
She loved fishing, traveling, and teaching others how to use technology.
Bonnie was a mother to many and friend to more.
A Celebration of Life, Visitation on Monday, October 18th, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus - OH 43231.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bonnie's name to the Cat Welfare Association of Central Ohio.
