Boyce Allen Barry, 80, of Westerville Ohio, passed away October 25, 2023.
Boyce was born March 4, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to Elmer Kenneth and Ina Fudge Barry.
Boyce ran his business Barry Brother Electric for more than 40 years. He always said it wasn't work when you can make a living doing what you love. He was aided in the business by neighbor and close friend Walt Meier. He enjoyed designing and building electronic controls, projects around the house, handing out the candy on Halloween and supervising his wife putting up the Christmas lights. Loved riding his motorcycle and always looked forward to the annual ride down the Blue Ridge with his brother David.
Boyce will be deeply missed by his wife Marie of 27 years; sons Michael (Danyl) Barry and Wayne (Marny) Barry; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother David (Nora) Barry; nephews Mark (Cheryl) Frazier, Scott (Angie) Barry and Brian (Christy) Barry; sisters-in-law Theresa (Dennis) O'Brien, Jane (Daniel) Duffy, Rita (Paul) Williams; brother-in-law Peter DeCarlo; Aunt Rita Nossal and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins on his wife's side; Lisa, David, Norman and Margie - the neighbor kids who grew up with him and viewed him as their other Dad.
Boyce was preceded in death by his parents E. Kenneth and Ina Barry, sister Mary Catherine Frazier and brother William Barry.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov 17, from noon to 1:30 PM at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Burial immediately following at Blendon Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Foundation Hospice Fund 3100 Easton Square Place Suite 300 Columbus Ohio 43219.
