Bradley Joseph Pierce, age 23, of Powell, OH, passed away on March 23, 2024, at the University of Cincinnati. He was born September 18, 2000 in Delaware, OH.
During Bradley's early years, his first passion was baseball. He enjoyed playing T-Ball, Little League, and later umpiring games. His natural music talent began with Bell Choir at church, cello and trumpet in school, and playing the drums in the family living room. He participated in Boy Scouts as well as Track and Field.
Bradley was a 2018 graduate of Olentangy Orange High School in Lewis Center, OH. He was a dedicated member of the Pioneer Marching Band throughout his four years. He became proficient at the French horn in concert band and the mellophone in marching band, where he traveled and played at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and the Cleveland Browns Stadium.
He attended The Ohio State University before choosing to enlist in the Ohio Army National Guard. He was a 12-Bravo, Combat Engineer where he trained at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri from 2019 to 2020. He flourished in the Army National Guard and ultimately earned his Specialist ranking. He was a bright and intelligent leader who enjoyed teaching others his great passions within the field. He transferred to the University of Cincinnati after basic training to work towards graduating with a B.S. in Construction Management. He loved bartending on campus and grew a loyal following of regulars and coworkers. The University of Cincinnati and his Army National Guard Unit (811th Engineer Company) were his happy place.
Bradley is survived by his mother Kelly (Jason) Mullins; father Trent (Amber) Pierce; younger brother, Nathan Pierce; older step-brother, Kyle Mullins; younger step-sister, Arianna Mullins; his grandparents, Donald and Carol Noble; Patricia Pierce; Kathleen Zimmer; David Zimmer; step-grandfather Jesse Mullins; his true love, Anna Peterson; his favorite dog, Odie; and blessed with countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and best friends. He is now peacefully reunited with his late Grandfather Kenneth Lee Pierce. Also preceded in death by his step-grandmother Delores Mullins.
A visitation will be held from 11am - 1pm and 4pm - 8pm on Monday, April 1st at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065, where service will be held Tuesday, April 2nd at 10:30am. Minister Tom Sherrod, will be officiating.
Burial will follow with full military honors at Union Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
