Brenda S. Akers, 72, of , Whitehall, OH passed away June 10, 2022.
She was born in Williamson, West Virginia on March 18, 1950 to the late Leonard and Gladys (Newsome) Akers.
She is preceded in death by siblings; Joann Rhinesmith, Leonard Akers Jr., Jerry Akers, Jack Akers, Andy Akers, Dora Akers, Geraldine Akers, and Freddy Akers.
Surviving family includes, loving spouse and longtime partner of 30 years, David Dixon; children, Jimmy (Chelsea), Tisha, Melissa Ashby, Jennifer Dixon; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; and sister; Blanche (Willis) McClellan.
Brenda was a valiant defender for those she loved, she was selfless and always giving.
At this time the family has selected to not have services.

For those I love...
For those who love me.
When I am gone, release us, let us go...
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it's time to travel on alone.
So grieve awhile for me, if you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while that we must part,
So bless the memories within your heart.
I wont be far away, for life goes on,
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near.
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
All of my love around you, soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone
I'll greet you with a smile and say,
Welcome Home.
