Brenda J. Dillard, 66, of Columbus passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 29, 2013 at her residence.
She was born April 28, 1947 in Columbus, daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Phillips Turner Sr.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her sisters, Mae Smith, Jeannette Cochran and Carolyn Nowlin; brother, Charles "Freddie" Turner Jr.; mother-in-law, Julia A. Dillard.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John Dillard; daughter, Lisa (James) Keyes; son, Michael Dillard; sisters, Sarah Bobbitt, Shirley Brown and Alice (George) Blake; brothers, William Turner and David (Paula) Turner; father-in-law, James Dillard Sr.; grandchildren, Quori Burks, Shawn Burks, Amarah Spears and Mikaila Dillard; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2013 from 11:00-12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.
Brenda was a kind, gentle, loving, caring person that will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.
